Types of CBD: Full Spectrum vs. Isolate

Did you know there are different types of CBD? CBD is a cannabinoid (organic substance) found in the hemp plant. So what’s the difference between full spectrum CBD and CBD isolate? Let’s find out!

What is Full Spectrum CBD?

Natural CBD Bath Products

The hemp plant contains over 80 unique, non-psychoactive cannabinoids. Full spectrum hemp extract contains an array of these cannabinoids, including CBD and trace amounts of THC (less than .3%). While CBD makes up the majority of the compound, it is only one of the cannabinoids in the extract.

What is CBD Isolate?

CBD isolate is pure CBD. The cannabinoid is extracted from the hemp plant and isolated from other compounds in the plant.

Research suggests that full spectrum CBD offers more therapeutic benefits thanks to the array of cannabinoids present in the extract. Additional natural plant compounds, like amino acids, omega fatty acids and trace minerals, also add to the benefits of full spectrum CBD.

At Pacha Soap Co., we source our full spectrum hemp extract from an industry-leading supplier. They use American-grown hemp to produce full spectrum hemp extract that is non-GMO and vegan. It is also third-party tested to ensure CBD potency and THC levels lower than .3%.
